Start by asking your GP. Make sure that you are assessed by a therapist to get treatment for your joints, so that the main cause is treated and you are able to look for help with the symptoms left over from that cause. Most therapists have a good range of treatments available to them, and can suggest where to go to ask for more help if required.
If necessary, your GP can refer you to a consultant at a pain clinic for more advice.
Pain clinics have a comprehensive range of treatment options. They may also have a long waiting list, so make sure you ask for referral in plenty of time, especially if you are pregnant and expect to need help before the end of the pregnancy.
